Cantilena is delighted to present a newly commissioned work by our very own Rebecca Sacks as part of our celebration marking 45 years as a treble chorus and 25 years performing as "Cantilena."

Cantilena is thrilled to invite the Worcester Chorus Women’s Ensemble to combine forces in this coming spring's joint program featuring Reena Esmail’s I Rise: Women in Song. In each movement of this work the composer acknowledges a notable woman who has inspired her. She writes that this work is "a reflection on a single facet of the multifaceted experience of being a woman in this world.”

Cantilena’s collaboration with The Worcester Chorus Women's Ensemble makes it possible for both groups to present a larger choral work that includes a string quintet, harp and flute as well as over 40 treble voices in two venues.
Cantilena invites you to join us in Worcester or Arlington for this special performance on Mothers Day weekend.
