April is Poetry Month and Cantilena is hosting a free Sunday afternoon beginner’s workshop led by Arlington’s Poet Laureate, Jean Flanagan, to celebrate the interplay of music, nature, and poetry.
“Poetry is not a mystery, nor should it be restricted to the halls of academia. It is open to all of us in our everyday lives to read, write, and to be inspired.”
– Jean P. Flanagan
Cantilena welcomes and encourages all who wish to write a spring verse, to come and try their hand at this form of expression. Jean offers inspiring music, images, and sample poems to get our creative energy flowing.
No previous writing experience necessary.
Light refreshments provided.
Fully accessible venue.
